Huawei Honor 6X launched in India: Know features, specs & price

Huawei launched a new mid-range smartphone for consumers in India. The Honor 6X was unveiled at an event in New Delhi today.

First announced in October, the Honor 6X features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is sold exclusively on Amazon India.

Under the hood, there is a Kirin 655 octa-core processor, 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. On the back, you have a dual 12MP + 2MP camera with phase detection auto-focus and LED flash.

Priced at Rs 12,999 ($190) for the 3GB variant and Rs 15,999 ($234) for the 4GB variant, Honor 6X sports a 8MP shooter for selfies and is backed by a 3,340 mAh battery.

Weighing 162 grams, the Honor 6X runs on EMUI 4.1, which is based on Android 6 Marshmallow. There are three color versions to choose from – Gold, Silver and Grey.

Pre-orders are open for the 4G LTE phone on Amazon till January 31. The first flash sale will held on February 2.

Zhai noted that the phone, which supports 14 local languages, brings flagship features in the budget segment and will help “consumers share, explore, and enjoy life to the fullest”.

To support the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Huawei will start making Honor 6X in India from the first week of February.
