New Mi Notebook Air with 4G support to launch on December 23

A new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is coming. According to reports, the launch will take place in China on Friday, December 23.

The Mi Notebook Air refresh was announced by Xiaomi this July. After several months, the company has released a teaser showing the design. The invite also hints at possible collaboration with telecom giant China Mobile.

When it was launched, the older Xiaomi Mi Notebook came in two variants – 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch screen sizes. The latter was powered by Intel’s sixth generation Core i5 processor, with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD along with optional NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card.

The 12.5-inch variant had Intel Core M3 processor with 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SATA SSD along with a secondary SSD slot. It was priced at CNY 3499 ($503), while the 13.3 inch variant sold at CNY 4,999 ($719).

For the upcoming, you can expect a slightly higher price, along with better hardware. Reports state Xiaomi will be adding 7th generation Core i7 processor, with option of 16GB RAM and 4G support.

Considering the previous launch, you can expect Xiaomi to once again announce the laptop in two size variants.
